Before and After - Placentia Primary Bath Remodel
We are pleased to share final looks of our primary bath remodel in Placentia, CA. Our client was a pleasure to work with and couldn’t be happier with the end result. Thanks to the teams at @specceramicsinc, @faucetsnfixtures, Custom Carpentry, and G.C. Tom Lund for all their hard work to help make this bath perfect!

A Little Tile Inspiration…
Last week I attended an event held by @asidoc at the SOCO Design Center in Costa Mesa. It was fun to tour the showrooms and reconnect with other designers in the industry. While visiting the @annsacks_orangecounty showroom, I absolutely fell in love with this concrete tile! Designed by @kellywearstler, this tile is part of the Gem series, that Kelly states was created to “ pay homage to the revered, age old artistry required to create encaustic tiles.” The unique pattern also mirrors the nonconformity we see in nature, it’s handmade appearance creating an illusion of depth and texture. Visit our IG page for more pictures of these fabulous tiles!
A quick little refresh at the office …
With all the samples we have here, we saw an opportunity to display items for client visits and inspiration. We installed a few shelves across from our wallpaper library to showcase tile, fabric, flooring- you name it! Once completed it felt like it’s been here all along!
Project Progress
Progress update on the Placentia project!
We’re almost done with the primary bath renovation for our client - just a few last details to dial in! We will definitely be back with more at that time but just had to share some of the major changes until then!
The homeowner’s goal for her primary bath was to remove an unused jacuzzi tub and turn the space into a large shower with a station to groom her pooch too. 🐾 She also wanted to replace the very 90’s window with a more modern layout. We think this blue and gold combination is just stunning and can’t wait to show you the rest!
Wallpaper Wednesday
Check out the final look of this wallpaper the installer took at our client’s home in Fullerton! The homeowner came to us looking for a bright blue + white wallpaper with a pop of red. We were able to find her something that gave her all three and perfectly compliments what you see while in the room, from the green of her glassware to the various elements of red in the garden.
Monday Motivation
It’s a new week! Meaning a new opportunity to make things happen for yourself. Whether you’re starting a new project, changing something significant in your life or hoping to continue on a path toward your goals that you’ve already begun, the start of the week often sets the tone for the rest of the week. There’s a good amount of motivational quotes out there but one of my favorites by MLK Jr. says “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
Textured tile of our dreams!
Available in five colors, the Stardust collection by @wow_designeu is inspired by outer space. This porcelain tile, both delicate yet resilient, works great throughout the home, inside and out. We have a reel on Instagram showing some of the different ways this tile can be incoporated into the home. Check it out!
New Collections
Last week we were visited by Harsey and Harsey rep @jackieatharsey who had some new Harlequin and Scalamandre collections to share with us. Fabulous doesn’t begin to describe these pieces! They were full of color and whimsy, each one more unique than the last!
There’s plenty more than what you see in the video on Instagram. See something you’d like to incorporate into your home? Let us know!
New Project Alert
There’s nothing more exciting than the start of a new project!
Ok maybe seeing everything come together in the end is just as exciting! But a new project gives us the opportunity for a fresh design, which gets the creative juices flowing! Designers - what’s your favorite part of the process?
Feeling moody blues on this ✨Wallpaper Wednesday ✨
Over on our Instagram yesterday we posted a video of wallcoverings we have in our showroom and what they look like after installation. So often we are asked how a paper from a wallcovering book would actually look and sometimes it can be difficult to determine from a small sample!
Blue has a calming and relaxing affect on our psyche. It often provides peace to those who surround themselves in the color. So why not invite that kind of feeling into your home?
Recent Client Feedback
Part of our value proposition as Interior Designers is to relieve the homeowner of unnecessary stress and decision fatigue that can come with a home remodel. Compound that with our expertise in the field and dedication to providing cost effective selections, these are just some of the reasons to hire a professional to assist you through the process.
Transformed for less!
A recent powder room remodel we did in Yorba Linda goes to show how you can make a stunning transformation without breaking the bank.
Looking to update the Mediterranean vibe in her home to something more modern, the homeowner reached out to us to help her with the process. We sourced a new wallcovering, mirror, and light fixture that gave the room a fresh new look. She originally thought to also replace the pedestal sink but after seeing the dramatic change made from the three other elements, realized that now the sink compliments the room and needn’t be changed! This saved her a good amount of money that can now be put towards another room remodel. We’re happy she’s happy and love the end result!
Fabric selections underway!
Working on a quick project for a past client who wants a new custom chair and pillow for her living room. With a color story in mind, we selected the patterns that would best compliment the sofa, throw pillows, and rug we furnished months back. Final reveal to come!
Commercial Wallpaper
We recently were visited by Joe of Trutec Engineering Inc., who needed a wallpaper for a gym refresh at a tennis club he was working on. This faux brick pattern by @wallquestofficial was just the right element to complete the room. We love it and are now feeling motivated to hit the gym!! Check out the finished look on our Instagram.
Harsey and Harsey Visit

Let’s Play a Game of “This or That!”
On Friday we posted a quick reel of a few different door colors and asked viewers to comment their favorite. It’s a debate here in the office! Pop over to our IG and vote for yours!
A Day in the Life of an Interior Designer
One of the things I love about being an Interior Designer is the fact that no two days are the same. Between site visits, in office appointments, showroom sourcing and all the work in between, everyday is different! Working with my clients and industry partners on a weekly basis makes all this running around absolutely worth it! I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Check out our video on Instagram for a quick glimpse into the life!
Touring the Waterstone Faucets Factory…
I recently had the pleasure of touring the Waterstone Faucets factory in Riverside County.
If you don't already know, they offer an INCREDIBLE selection of luxury kitchen and bath faucets and accessories, all made right here in Southern California! While touring the facility and seeing the craftsmanship and detail that goes into each piece, it is easy to see why they take pride in their work. Whether you're looking for something modern or traditional, simple or elegant, your selection will feel unique and truly special.
Check out our video from that tour on our Instagram and give us a call if you’d like to see their selection in person!
Let’s Talk About Refrigerators!
Did you know that more than 8 million refrigerators are sold each year in the United States?
When redesigning a kitchen, it’s important to pick the right appliances for you, the homeowner. Factors such as the type of cooking done most often (reheating, baking, boiling, etc) are major considerations when choosing the right appliances and layout for a kitchen remodel. Selecting the right type of refrigerator is no exception to this rule. Consider the following questions- what size and type of fridge do you want? French doors, side by side, or bottom or top freezers? Do you need ice made in the door or not? What types of food are you storing? Do you want the fridge to match the cabinets (aka panel ready) or stand out? What type of lighting inside the unit is preferred? And our favorite question, where can we find the wine?
Refrigerators can be a focal point and enhance a kitchen in more ways than one. Make sure to consider your needs in order to find the right refrigerator for you and your family!
