Wallpaper Wednesday - Client Install Photo!
While our client decides on her new bedding, check out the installation of our York wallcovering in her primary bedroom! Together with the addition of new coffered ceilings, pendant lighting and grass cloth wallcovering, she now has an elegant but cozy oasis to wind down in at the end of each day.
Dazzling Guest Bathroom Progress
Our clients wanted a bath that would dazzle their guests! Our inspiration was this dramatic, charcoal, gray, gold, cream, and white (what else!) wall covering bedazzled in glass beads! To complement, we selected a porcelain large format and a marble deco shower tile. The countertop was a perfect match to the wall covering! We are literally doing cartwheels over here!!
Happy & Bright Mood Board
What makes for a beautiful, cohesive space is that one special thing that inspires us! Inspiration can come in the form of art, area rug design, fabric, nature and so many other ways! Our inspiration for this bedroom was the wallcovering by Romo! We fell in love with it and all other finishes fell into place!
Framing is in!
We posted on Instagram recently a walk through of the project in Huntington Beach! First floor rough framing complete! Hammering out the details (pun intended) - see the video for all the views!
Mood Board Presentation
Selected the perfect pool table for the Bonus Game Room in the Roberts new home! Love the Sawyer Twain 8 ft Scholar pool table for this space.! In Retro Black and Khaki Felt! And it converts to a ping pong table too!
Tile Shopping on Tile Tuesday!
Head over to our IG for a look into our day visiting three tile stores in Anaheim for the perfect options for our client. We are sourcing for multiple bathrooms - one a black and white theme, another mint, one blue - you name it, this project has it! We love working with clients who have fun with color and texture and aren’t afraid of being unique!
Client Meeting
In a recent meeting with a client, we chatted about their vision for the space and any specific vibes they wanted to capture. They shared their thoughts on the design ideas we presented, giving us a good sense of what they liked and what needed tweaking. By the end, we had a solid plan in place, ready to bring their dream interior to life! Next up, a trip to find some fabulous tile for the bathrooms!
Pictured above, a York wallpaper that our client fell in love with for a guest bedroom! We love the colors and are excited for the mint green vibes we are doing in the bathroom to keep the charm alive throughout the space! See our recent IG reel for more color and vibes!
Scouting Brick for a New Project...
I love to have the opportunity to design a home from top down. Pictured above are some brick options for fireplaces in our new Huntington Beach location. Our client is looking for a soft beachy tone with natural elements. This brick will do just the trick!
Let's Talk About How Success Can be Measured...
In the realm of interior design, success isn't merely about flair or inspiration; it's about relentless dedication and perseverance. From mastering design fundamentals to meticulous project management, every aspect demands unwavering commitment.
Working hard in interior design means immersing oneself in continual learning, from staying updated on trends to mastering timeless principles. It involves meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every element contributes harmoniously to the overall vision.
Yet, at its core, hard work in interior design is fueled by passion. It's the driving force behind late nights and meticulous planning, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation.
In essence, success in interior design isn't solely about talent; it's about the tenacity to push boundaries and the unwavering commitment to excellence.
New Project
We have been given the privilege to collaborate with our clients, Kelly and Todd Roberts, for their new home on Huntington Harbour! All smiles over here after grinding it out and making final selections for the plumbing fixtures. The home will be coastal, a bit of traditional, (not too much) with a twist! Stay tuned!
Wallpaper Galore
Three wallpaper appointments in one day can be daunting but for us it was a ton of fun! Our clients were nice enough to allow us to film the appointments so we could post a glimpse of our day for social media. Everyone was so sweet and had such different tastes in wallpaper! That’s what’s exciting about this business, every job is so different!
Las Vegas Market Trip
Head over to our Instagram for a look into this month’s trip to Las Vegas and this years market! Always a good time to see what vendors and manufacturers are creating for your homes. I love these pendant statement lights pictured above. Hoping to use them in a project soon!
Gratitude
Having so much fun over here (truly) with Alicia, our up and coming designer who just so happens to be attending and finishing her degree in Interior Design at my Alma Mater!
It blows me away how God has intertwined our paths! So many “coincidences”! Not really! Even down to our outfits! 😂
Here we are working on a few projects, listening to French music and getting our creative juices flowing!
Bath Remodel by Pace Design
Looking back at a bathroom renovation we completed in 2019. We loved the mix of modern matte concrete-look floors and large-scale porcelain tile we took up to the ceiling. These elements highlight the fusion of modern and traditional design.
The Benefits of Hiring a Professional Designer...
We’ve seen it too many times before - homeowners take on a remodel themselves, thinking they’ll save money that way. By squeezing in the work around their 9-5 job work hours, they end up overwhelmed by a project that dragged on beyond their ideal timeline. This is where a professional designer comes in… even a single at-home consultation can make all the difference!
Side note - peep the shower zellige tile in after photo’s mirror reflection. 😍 Though we did a more robust change in tile in that part of the bathroom, minimal work needed to be done to the sink to make a large impact.
New Fabrics for the Showroom

2024 Interior Design Trends
Let’s start with dark and deep tones – think jewel tones that bring the drama and create impactful and bold rooms. And gone is the trend of painting one accent wall with your color of choice… 2024 will see rooms drenched in these colors from top to bottom, giving a monochromatic look. With jewel tones comes an air of elegance, bringing us to our next trend – quiet luxury.
Quiet luxury is nothing new, but it will be a major focus moving forward. Investment pieces from artisanal designers lend nicely when looking to create a room that has a classic and vintage feel.
Going vintage makes it easy to practice the next trend of mixing historical eras. Don’t worry about sticking to one design style when accessorizing a room – look for pieces that entertain a collaborative mixture of modern and traditional.
Lastly, and you probably saw this coming based on the trends above, are furniture and rooms designed with character. Consider unique fabric patterns and a departure from the flawlessly staged designs often seen on Instagram that were influenced by the use of staged, monochromatic, and minimal furniture. Moving forward it is all about creating a room that caters to authentic living, based on the homeowner’s individuality.
Wallpaper Wednesday 2024
Truly one of our favorite performance vinyl wallcoverings, offered by Kravet. These can be used in places where you need that extra protection from moisture, liquid spills or your sweet little one’s fingerprints. This particular project we are working is for the back of a bar, where a sink and drinks will often be present. If you can find a vinyl that offers that peace of mind, go for it!
